Hi Guys, In your opinion, how long would it take to convert two .psd files to html and then install two scripts on them? I have employed someone to do the job but he is telling me it will take him 2-3 days to complete the job?! Is that realistic, people have told me that they can do it in a day?! maybe you can try and ask the people that said that they can do it in a day to do it... pay them with the same rate that you are paying the one that said he/she can do it in 2-3 days if they can do it consistently with the same quality as the one you hired, then you're better off hiring them instead
I just wondered how long it would take someone to code 2 designs and install two scripts onto them, obviously I thought this guy could be wasting my time by taking so long, but from the feedback here maybe he is not
It can take a while to convert from PSD. The software out there for this isn't very good so a lot of it has to be done by hand. 2-3 days is totally reasonable.
one thing i just want to emphasize though is, a web developers job, be it designer/coder/programmer is not a walk in a park, it takes skill to do it, so please dont always assume that what they do is easy.
