In your opinion what are the worst alternatives to AdSense?

I started a thread not so long ago asking what alternatives they'd recommend if someone was to get booted from adsense! Now all i can find is threads saying which are the best alternatives. Which got me thinking i wonder what people think are the worst alternatives.

So come on guys what do you think the worst or least paying alternatives are?

 

A well worded question. I would love to hear what people have to say.

 

Kontera in my opinion is the worst so far.

 

This is going to be unpopular but I've found Adbrite & Clicksor to be poor.

They pay poorly for clicks and the ads are hardly ever anything to do with my blog.

Kontera also get a bad rep from me.

 

AdBrite is kind of poor right now due to economy problems, before the economy crisis AdBrite was awesome and you were able to make lots of money with them, but now their rates are very low.

Hope the economy problems will go away so the ad network such as AdBrite can get up on their legs again and serve their Publishers.

 

I feel awful, about saying this too, but yes adbrite is seeming a little poor of late not so much the click issue but the irrelevance of the ads. Not so worried if they dont pay well but poorly targeted gets no clicks anyway. I just usually put the cpm right up and just get the bonus from the full page ads now!

 

I think Adbrite too. I was getting $1 per week with 3k uniques per day. I'm testing Clicksor banner but I don't get a good result too.

 

I think others all poor , If adsense kickout me , I'll stop use any others text ads .

 

I don't like Kontera.

I tried Adbrite about 2 years ago, but just that annoying full page advert that loaded ... I hated it/didn't earn anything from it and removed it in case it was upsetting my traffic. I never tried their alternatives and haven't ever felt a need to.

 

Lol, I don't think there is anyone on this forum that like Kontera, they totally suck.

 

They have one of the lowest CPC I've ever seen. Definitely not planning to use them any longer.

 

So the theme were all going with is adbrite or Kontera. In adbrites defence it didn't used to be as bad. Although i have done a recent experiment, i've taken two blogs with similar total hits, unique hits, return visits, visit length's and CTR's. One of my blogs was exclusively Adbrite which had very poor CTR around 2%. The other Adsense only and had around what i'd expect the CTR to be. I think this is mainly down to Adbrites poor ad targetting. Also i think it the full page ads do put off some people. Here's the hard evidence, my adsense only blog had only 3% staying less than 30 seconds, where as my adbrite only site, has around 17% on average that stay less than 30 secs. Now lets come to the cash side of it. On one day AdBrite earned me $1.92 off 2114 hits, Adsense $14.31 off 2247

 

I am with dean about adbrite that really pay poorly for clicks

 

That is just temporary fro AdBrite, I hope it is. The economy needs to be fixed really fast.

 

I tried bidvertiser for a while, but I only got 0.01$ for each click so it didn't really seem worth it

 

Ouch $0.01 that is poor. I cant really understand that because a lot of people have only good things to say about bidvertiser. Your about the first i've heard in a little while. Whats your niche if you dont mind me asking?

 

Also AdEngage is not that good, so it should be here too

 

Again AdEngage i haven't had the pleasure of so wil have to take your word on that. AdBrite though gave me a 0.01 for a click the other day, not impressed.

 

Yeah, AdBrite is not pretty good right now either.

 

Adbrite keep trying to serve holiday ads on a law site, how many time do i have to reject them lol!
