they are good but don't think they appeal to a large market, you better stick to .com and .mobi or may be try out the new .asia
When you say that there's no future in Indian domains, look at the sales. Poker.in was sold for $60,000, webcam.in for $18,000 and many others have broken the $1,000 threshold. My opinion is that services orientated .in domain names have future while products orientated names, like you guys suggested, will struggle. Never forget that .in domains can serve a non-Indian site, too. For example, I have a quite successful site under a .in domain and 90% of my traffic comes from Britain and USA.
