In terms of SEO value, is there a differnce between these two links

I am trying to increase my SEO for the phrase "valet vacation rentals"

I have links that do this:

Valet Vacation Rentals -> www.idahoresortrentals.com (my website)

I also have the url www.valetvacationrental.com (notice no plural on rentals)

would it be of value to do this:

Valet Vaction Rentals -> www.valetvacationrental.com (redirected (temp) to -> www.idahoresortrentals.com)

In other words, does it ad vlaue to link to a site that has the keywords in the url that re-directs to your site?

No. In fact, having the valetvacationrental.com redirect to your actual target actually hurts you.

You'd be better off putting some unique content on valetvacationrental.com, and linking to idahoresortrentals.com naturally in content, and then promoting them both seperatly.

 

Totally agree with selectsplat, that's only acceptable if the urls are very similar, like .com and the same thing .org and you don't want to put duplicate content.
