    I read somewhere that in terms of seo using "-+ instead of "_" will rank you better. Is that true? What about using "+" What about letting it autmatically fill with "%20" ?

    Which will rank higher?

    site.com/site-reviews/ecommerce-sites
    site.com/site+reviews/ecommerce+sites
    site.com/site_reviews/ecommerce_sites
    site.com/site%20reviews/ecommerce%20sites

    heard it is a bug (in a sense), a result of adding such characters to search engines to refine searches. The engine not being able to distinguish if your "+" in a search is actually something for which you're searching or the shortcut to say the results must have the following keyword. Result is + and - in your URL can give you more traffic because of searches that include those shortcuts.

    Ah ok. I've heard that "_" doesn't do as well as "-" So I guess it's:

    +>->_

    For quite a while it was said Google preferred dashes - to underscores _. It's been debated in all different forums for years. (Search Google for: Dashes or Underscores)
    Now the word seems to be there is no difference.
