Hey Guys, I want to make a Gaming Website like IGN.com or Gamershell etc. For that I am in search of a Easily Customisable CMS. Joomla seems too Confusing to me. Please suggest an alternate CMS, which is Easy to use and Still Looks Good.
Subdreamer is fairly easy to use. But from my limited experience, every CMS requires some time to get used to it.
My advice would be to keep working with Joomla. It's difficult at first, trust me I know. But if you work with it for a week, you'll get comfortable with it. The key is learning the relationship between sections and categotories, and also the relationship between components, mambots and modules.
I agree with moonlightfans. I started playing with joomla and I was about to tear my hair out. Then I started to actually READ and understood how things worked. It hit me all of a sudden and things started getting easier.
I would recommend Joomla. I'm not sure that I can honestly say that it is the easiest though. But it is the best. The learning curve can be somewhat steep sometimes. But it is worth it.
I agree with this, for the type of site you are trying to achieve you need a CMS that wont be so simple. You should keep working on Joomla or Drupal.
Yes, I agree. Joomla is absolutely amazing once you get to know it. Just start small, learn how to add pages. Then, when you want to add another feature, you can learn that part. There is documentation that describes everything
Definitely Joomla! As you see many people recommend to use J! and I also. I understand you so it's complicated but after some hours with good tutorials you will know this system.
I couldn't agree more. I think the most important part of understanding Joomla is understanding the organizational relationships between Section-Category-Content
the easiest would be "indexhibit.org" i beleive its new and haven't had a chance to test it out yet but, it may be ton simple for a gaming site, you should learn Drupal
