.IN OR .CO.IN which one to choose?

Hi all DP forum members, I'm looking to start one entertainment site in India. So can you guys suggest me which one to choose co.in or .in? Also it would be good if you can give some reasons too for using or not using that particular domain..

 

I would prefer .in over .co.in... simply because it makes your domain name smaller in size and easy to remember!

Smaller domains are definitely better, not from SEO aspects but since they are easy to remember and easier to handle. For your local Indian market, there would be no difference and try picking the available terms.

 

I am not Indian, but if I were them I would go with .co.in over .in. I do like .co.in over .in personally. Nothing more than that

 

I think Yes Shorter URL is easy to Remember “ IN “ is very helpful for your entertainment site.

 

I asked this same question months ago in the domain forum - ".in" appeared to be unanimous.

 

I prefer .co.in . Most of country format is like that for their local .com level domain site.

Like .co.ca .co.id .co.jp

You name it for the rest.

 

For a business .co.in is better.. but for a entertainment site,it is ".in"

choose ".in" nothing to think twice..
