http://www.nddb.net Primarily right now I am trying to get my traffic back. Google has slaughtered me and I can't figure out why. At the height, I had 800,000 pages indexed, and was pretty high for some key terms. Now there is 300-52,000 pages. Keywords are pretty low. But before, the bulk of the traffic came from people googling doctor's names and I got hits on towns. I have some randomized text in hopes of convincing googlebot that my pages are indeed worthy of indexing, because they are unique, even though the template is the same. Any bit of SEO advice on how I can get back up a bit in google would be appreciated, I used to have a lot of weight, but it was just stopped indexing pages the way it was before the big daddy update. I don't want to get ridiculous and have so much unique stuff per page that it's a burden for the user, but ideally, if a person searches for anything in the realm of ratings/reviews for a doctor, or doctors in a town, they'd hit one of my pages. Anyway, thanks a lot, I appreciate them help! Thanks!
-bump- Anyone got any hints for getting google to appreciate my site? or should I just wait for the next google musical chairs?
Maybe your outward links are a problem. Why should Google index a bunch of doctors names with no reviews? The few links I checked pointing to your site are pretty random....to say the least. Honestly, it looks MFA.
What would you change? I mean, the point of having those pages indexed is so people will find them and add reviews. Most of the random links pointing at my site are from the DP co-op. You think that's a problem? I think it may be falling under MFA, but that is the nature of it. I don't know what I can do to fix that. If I only let people see and review doctors that were already reviewed... the site would never grow.
I don't know that I would change it. But i don't think you should expect G to do much wi/ those pages. The things i would focus on: -Bulding quality, related links. -Adding as much content as possible The formula doesn't change much.
