If you haven't found a good host yet, you can try either BlueHost.com, or godaddy.com. I hate to refer my own, but you can take a look at mine as well,
    hastyhost.com

Hope this helps, or anyone else that may have been looking.

Thanks for the offer, I'm settled in at the moment. I couldn't bear another move.

3.99 is damn cheap... I dunno how you could afford it. That is what I hate about the hosting market, not to insult you or anything your service could be excellent. But the whole thing in general is geared towards price, I tend to ignore anything that is below $20-$30/month. But I think most people look for the most dirt cheap deal.

Which as I said, in your case might be great, but speaking generally about the hosts I have dealt with, it kinda sucks. I would much rather pay more for stable service, than like MT, pay $20/month for something that just doesn't work.

Just rambling, but yea, I am happy at hostdrive, very happy. Their support is incredible, I might be off a bit on the times, but I sent them an email at about midnight, asking for a whole list of things some of my goofy websites require and some stuff I just wanted, like vim, imagemagick, Image::Magick, how to turn on output compression, several other things.

When I got up the next morning ~5am, it was all done. Amazingly fast to install that stuff for me. I've never had service that fast, it wasn't even that fast when I ran my dedicated box... haha.

I think it would be hard to be the combination they have going, sure you can get a box to yourself and run it yourself, still would be more expensive, sure you could get a manage box, still would be more expensive, or you could get a cheaper price on mediatemple or netfirms, but I doubt you'd have anywhere near the type of service.

(No, I don't work for them, nor did they give me a special deal, same one above, I'm just singing their praises because of the night and day difference between them and other hosts, and I am _very happy_ to not have to lug my sites from host to host trying to find a good one!!)

As I said appove I have used hastyhost for all of my needs, I am currently using his advanced plan to host my traffic exchange and personal sites. I have had no problems.

Someone mentioned Bluehost earlier - I second that. Super host, even though there have been a coupole of hiccups the last couple of days (they're moving to a new location). Anyway, great service, good support, and awesome pricing.

    sgugal,

Don't need to PM the deal, MIA posted it somewhere... 60g 60 domains for $60.

Still loving their service. =) Especially because I have access to crontab, can backup my DB, rsync backups to my house... very nice, don't get that a lot of places either.
