Hello, My website ranks on the first page for most of my primary keywords in USA (www.google.com) but it still lags behind when searched using www.google.co.uk Will it help if I get some co.uk backlinks?? Thanks for your response... If I host it in UK, im sure my US rankings will suffer.. Anyways, it is not an option coz ive recently bought a virtual private server for my website and mail hosting... Thanks.. Any other suggestion?
Google.co.uk is intended to show UK based sites for UK users. Google.com shows US based sites to US users. You can't expect to rank well in both of them unless you set up a subdomain or a whole new site on a .co.uk or UK IP address (like amazon & ebay do)
I guess the only option left for me is develop co.uk backlinks... Would you know any source whr i can buy or exchange a lot of co.uk links?
As far as my experience goes... dont think the same niche is required... Any co.uk domain website will do as far as ranking is concerned..
my forum is .co.uk and hosted in the UK. Whilst you can advertise the link in your sig, I do not tolerate spamming/blatant spam advertising. Other than my shameless plug, there are quite a few UK only directories out there. Especially UK business. Try looking in google. Other than that, try link exchanges (or purchasing) from people on the DP forum
