Hello everyone, In a bit of a demise at the moment in choosing a future direction web career wise. Been on the net since 1996, been designing sites for customers professionally since 2004, made some good money, but that money has come with the usual dreadful pain of dealing with "diva" customers, and in all honesty we all want income that does not have any headaches attached. I am at a critical stage where I am trying to decide whether to keep on trying to get leads for web design which is a fiercely competitive market as it is or whether to start focusing on affiliate sites and seoing the good ness out of them. The dilemma is if God were to bless me with 100 web design clients, that would be 100k at least, i mean that would be awesome, but that would be 100 headaches (not necessarily all will be headaches) but it would be hard work making them happy, furthermore what is the reality of getting these 100 clients. However if i were to dedicate my time and set up say 100 affiliate/adsense sites in 3 months, and seo them for the rest of the year, surely surely if traffic comes my way, i would get paid. The issue here is: I have tried the web design game, it works, business people still need a professional to take that time off their hands and build them simething, but getting the leads is a battle, pleasing them is even harder, i have never honestly tried the affiliate game, how long before results? Has anyone ever been in my position?

Well i think your like me ... My main income is from freelancing but i 'm starting to get feed up with stupid clients and not a constant income so vesides this i started developing my own sites .... why don't you try it ?
Perhaps you can be on both the boats, instead of doing a 100 clients slice it in half ,and set up less # of adsense/affiliate sites than you mentioned, see how things go from there. Completely switching over couldnt be a very wise move i think.
