How can you be requesting $2000 and then offering a 30-40 hour job to someone in the same post? Either you have enough money or the person will need to work for free?
I have enough money.... I posted for 2 seperate options. Here is the reason: If I get an Investor, I can easily pay people to do the tasks I need done... therefore a partnership may not be required... A partnership may still be needed at a much smaller role and much more job specific.... such as SEO work only. If There is No Investor... than I will be seeking a partnership... which is going to be based on a % of profit each week/bi-weekly/monthly... whatever is discussed. In Short - I have the money to fund the start-up... WITH a partner... without a partner, I would need Investors to pay for what I need done. Hope that clarify's things a little... EDIT** This si the first sentence: I am in need of a partnership OR an Investor.
How can you be short of $2000 if you're the president of a large online sports store and started your first company 6 years ago?
While I do appreciate the criticism... it's unnecessary. If your not ineterested than that is fine. Burner Sports is another start up company (not even a year old)... all my money has gone into it, and so do all profits. I am working on buying more inventory for Burner Sports. I am going to keep the company, hence the capital, seperate. Not that your comment even deserved a response, but in short... I have money, but more money can always be used. The more money I have the faster the company can grow.
Sorry if you felt I was criticising. I was genuinely interested, before I spend my time signing an NDA, it's much easier to ask questions first to iron out inconsistencies. I still don't understand how you could be in business for 6 years but be requesting $2k investment for a startup as it's a nominal amount, but don't feel like asking more questions as you may take it the wrong way. Goodluck.
Well, I currently have about 10K in inventory for the sports company, I am ramping up heavily for christmas time. The company i started when I was 16, only lasted about a year and a half until I sold it... it was a server company. I than went to work for a few places like Best Buy and Fidelity Investments, and some others... So, I have done some entreprenuerial stuff while I was working for other company's, but not to the extent of taking it on as a full time job (like now). I hope this clarify's things.
Looks like an interesting business. If you are willing, post your new website when you launch it, so we can follow your progress/success.
