Anyone here manage PPC campaigns in-house? I do, and so do many of my friends. Today I got a bunch of IM's about this article that came out from Did-It's president, David Pasternack where he trashes in-house PPC people: The Great (And Completely Ridiculous) ‘In-house vs. Outsourced SEM’ Debate If you manage in-house, you'll find this interesting.
Of course, there are many qualified in-house PPC managers. But this is just a small part of all in-house PPC managers. Here, in Slovakia is Pay Per Click advertising very young business. On my site www.payperclick.sk i am writing about many dropouts making by self-serve companies. Absolute majority of companies thing, they can manage those campaigns by them self. They think so, because it works. Of course it works, its search engine business. But they can`t imagine, it could be much better. And they don`t believe, that some rules are important for better effectivness. Also my co-owners in our advertise agency say to me: "Just give the rules how to make it, and we will pay a student who will manage the campaigns. And you will have time to do business"
Thanks for sharing, Article itself looks like a linkbait, Comments are much more interesting thou! Good weekend.
