    .in makes sense to me -India has huge population, rapidly growing income and huge software development industry. I own 4 character 3 character domains and may pick up a few more.

    Then there are all those second level ccTLD like

    .org.in
    .ind.in
    .net.in
    .firm.in

    Some good keywords and also nice LLLs are available in these.

    e.g. www.abc.ind.in and www.xyz.net.in are available.

    Even today in india, there are some top class domestic companies which have no websites. They are looking to globalise their business or just their presence on web. So future of .in domains is bright. I'm taking it seriously.
