I've tried every site that gives insight on this, all the ones people recommend and etc. But i'm at no luck coding a site design that i did in photoshop. html used to be easy to me... lack of practice. well i'm feeling the results. to the point.. if i could get either a mentor that'll walk me through the process step by step. or a tutorial that explains coding everything from the css stylesheet to the html elements in a clear manner i'll be more than appreciate. and i will make it worth your time and effort, i do graphic design i'm sure something could be worked out..
So your looking for a paid coder??? Check out the design buy and sell section to find a suitable coder...
Looking for a Mentor eh? How about one from SitePoint? (Seriously, I'm a Mentor on the Design Team there.) Anyway, I suggest you read HTML Utopia: Designing Without Tables Using CSS, 2nd Edition by Rachel Andrew and Dan Shafer [sitepoint.com], Designing With Web Standards, 2nd Edition by Jeffrey Zeldman [zeldman.com] and Don't Make Me Think! A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability, 2nd Edition by Steve Krug [sensible.com]. Thsee three books will get you on the ground running with Web standards, Web usability and table-less modern semantic Web development (and by development I mean HTML/CSS, not programming).
thanx for the help i'll try and buy those books whenever i have some spare change. and as for the mentor offer i'd greatly appreciate it.
Check to see that they're available at your local library. That way you don't have to spend any money.
You can just do some Slicing and convert a PSD to a normal Site Image Objects. You won't need a mentor for that.
