I was watching the news with my mom and on abc they held a mothers inventors contest. The winners invention was beverage barricade which is trademarked now! article link: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Technology/story?id=1135480&page=1 and I just purchased the domain www.beveragebarricade.com! would you consider that a good snag, would you contact them, do you think they will offer prices or go straight to legal issues..? Taylor
If you do contact them about the url and offering to sell it to them, do not mention a price....let them offer you a price. I do not right off the top of my head know what it is actually called and the legalities of it, but in a nutshell it is called url ransom.
Are you joking? Not such a good snag. In case you didn't get the gist of the contest, Mom Inventors (don't bother hijacking that one too - it's taken) is selling the thing under their own brand on their own site and in stores. They certainly don't need the beveragebarricade.com url. Maybe they'll give you a penny, if they respond at all. If they wanted it, they would have snagged it before publicizing the name. Good luck with that.
