In 50 Years - Humans No Longer Humans? (CNN)

    Read that.

    It scares me. It really scares me. (I don't think that article is accurate. In the 70s they said we'd all have floating/flying cars by now. Nonetheless, this thread is about the ideas posed in that article rather than the accuracy of the timetable)
    If you didn't read the article, basically humans may possibly "move beyond their biological roots". I really don't think that's a good idea. Scientists don't know what consciousness is, how could they know that a robotic brain would remain conscious? Wouldn't a robotic human just simulate living, without actually being alive?

    I don't know about you, but I'm never moving out of this body totally, even though that means i'll have to die. Yeah, getting an arm replacement or a new eye - that's cool!! but getting a brain replacement much less one that connects to the internet? no way whatsoever... Yeah, what do you think?

    for the moment this idea is a SF one...in my opinion...of course we can suppose so many things about the future because we don't know anything about it;)so, chill out...we won't be robots:D
