Not always. Considering they are probably mixed with the Indians and a bit of the Spanish(Spain). So because of their skin color are they to forgot about their other heritages?

This is Sad. He can't even get on Serius radio until after the merger. SMH

Well I think BET and MTV bleeps out all of those words (If they don't they should) and Rap CDs have warning labels that are basically the same as NC-17 ratings.

That statement is only a theory.

Yes Haitian and Jamaicans were. But many of them married those who lived on the island. As well as the Spainards. So again I ask, do they have to deny their other heritages just because the color of their skin.........

Anyways. It appears Imus's apology was accepted. And it will cost CBS $15 Million when they fired Imus........The saga dwindles...........

Many opposing tribes helped in the capture of Africans for the slave trade. Also it was common amongst any tribe whether it be from Africa, America etc to have slaves.(Tribal Slavery) In fact it is abolished in Sudan, but ocurances of capturing people for slaves is common and very, very wrong.

Why would everyone that wasn't alive during this period of slavery in america be entitled to reparations? Enough already.

No one is entitled to reparations in America. Slavery ended a long time ago. There are no living former slaves, and very few people are related to any slaves in any way that may have some how affected them negatively. Not every black in America was sold into slavery, and no one alive today is.

Dwelling on that past is what keeps people from moving forward. It's time we moved on.

No, the French once enslaved blacks and placed them in hati, and Spaniards enslaved many in the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.

This thread is getting off topic from the issue of what Imus said. Maybe the discussion of slavery should be another thread posting........

memba when dat Marky, Mark punk useta speek like dat?

You know, that Walberg kid? I kept telling myself, this has to be an act. He cannot possibly really talk like this.. Now you see this guy in movies and he talks like a normal every day person, no more faked hood accent...

Now when I hear someone talk like that, I know it's just an act. Sometimes it's cool to sound like an idiot..

So back on topic, those Rutgers girls are EXTREMELY, well spoken. Once again, says a lot about a negative sterotype and how completely the opposite of that stereotype they are. Except for the two whitey's in the bunch.. They may be blond headed ho's for all I know.. Lord knows, I've seen a lot of those in my time.

I find it interesting that no real news outlet is covering the fact they excepted his apology....I guess thats not the real important issue.

Well CNN.Com's web site did mention it.. And I have seen it mentioned in other news outlets as:

Apology Accepted, ie., we forgive, but will never forget.

Too me, that is not an acceptance of an apology... Hard to move on from something when you keep dwelling on it.

In any event, the guy lost his job, so the story is pretty much over. How long should he pay for this?

I know these Rutgers Juwanna Men, all say they are scared for life, and damaged as a result. So let's compare their pain to that of the Duke Lacrosse Players. In contrast, I don't think any of the girls are scared for life, or even more than a few days. I'm sure they are just fine.

The Duke players? These guys could have some long term physiological problems as a result of their experience.

Man, what every happened to sticks and stones may break my... but words will never hurt me.

I think the US and these girls have a lot of growing up to do. I listen to people insult Italians, but I'm not gonna be scared as a result. I really think that Rutgers, the media, and even Imus himself have made wat too much out of this.
