    Hi everyone,

Can you all share how you increase your SERP on Google? I know you need to have keywords and not have so many backlinks really fast (google doesn't like this). What else?

    Thanks,

    Buddha

you need to have good quality content relevant to the keyword you want to rank high on, that is updated frequently, also you need back links with relevant anchor text. The anchor text will help you rank high for that keyword

I try to post quality and unique content which is not available on other sites... That'll get you backlinks slowly and steadily. I check the backlinks everyday using Technorati...and for me, I get tons of backlinks as I design and provide free blogger templates...and those backlinks increased my SERP's very well.

Thanks for the input guys. How long does it take for Google to pickup on my unique content? I just added 10 unique articles to my site 2 weeks ago but there is very little traffic on the site still. I've posted a few times a week on blogs talking about the same subject matter, but still almost no traffic. Perhaps it will take longer than I thought.

Yea it can take a while for google to index your articles but to speed up the process you can try submitting each article to digg

As already stated here, content is king and if you get ppl to link to your unique content - Well that's even better.
