Hello, Could you give me some suggestions to improve our SEO with Bing. Our site is a directory website Thank you in advance for your advice Pierre
I don't know if there's a clear and fast answer. Most "advice" says to follow best-practice SEO rules, and you'll be rewarded. But we've really struggled to rank highly for our main keywords in Bing, even though we're doing extremely well in Yahoo and Google. With Bing taking over Yahoo Search in the coming months, I'd love to figure out what it takes, so we don't lose that Yahoo traffic.
I also got no traffic from Bing. If someone knows what to do differently with Bing please share. thanks.
Why are you wasting your time on Bing, go for Google. Simple, easy and fast, make sure you put some serious effort working on your task.
Boogieman...hehe....I just fell out of my chair with your response. Awesome! Bing does have a website submission process, and I do think they have a sitemap protocol as well. Try that out.
The basic what i can say over this issue is that. 1. Do a needfull of onpage SEO of ur directory 2. Submit ur link, feed of the site, sitemap of the site , keywords . do it all 3. Ur site will definitely be indexed and will definitely work f9. Thank u
Tips : -Bing is focus more on internal links. Try to work on it -Optimize information, page titles, sitemap, internal linking and use good keywords in your content. -Bing gives preference to website/domain age.
Much of it is covered in threads here. You can also check below urls for seo bing : http://www.seowizz.net/2009/06/bing-seo-how-does-it-differ-to-google.html http://www.seobing.info/ regards, ASHISH THAKKAR
Bing takes more time to dominate. No one really knows what is the formula... Keep building backlinks and quality content.
I have sites that rank very highly on Google and not even in top 20 with Bing. The traffic from Bing where I do rank well is *extremely* low. So, I place my time and efforts for Google SEO only and whatever comes from Yahoo / Bing is a bonus. I would not want to compromise my Google ranking with any attempt to optimise specifically for Yahoo or Bing. As far as effort / reward ratio goes for me, Google ranking is all that matters.
Bing has its own algorithm and is a bit slower then google at indexing pages. the best thing to do is just keep making content and check back in a few months...Bing will index you eventually.
Funny thing...I haven't even checked out Bing yet. Google being the grandaddy of search makes me want to stick to it and not waste any time with up and comers until they can make an impact on SEO.
