I have seen few sites having some link as redirect.alexa.com.. .... for their sites, is this a trick to improve their alexa rank ? do you have any more tips than having alexa toolbar installed for getting a higher alexa rank, I know this ranking has no meaning related to the ad revenue generation but has meaning for some advertisers like adbrite so any tips and tricks and how to use this redirect.alexa.com ?? and how to re-load an html page for every 2 mins or so...any code
Do a search on this forum for 'Magic Surfer' it's a little Windows app that does auto surfing thru proxies - if you have the alexa toolbar installed it will boost your numbers...
You Can check my post: http://sherytiger.com/how-to-improve-alexa-rank-easily/ It'll show you how easily you can improve your Alexa rank.
Get more traffic, and trick out their ranking with the Alexa toolbar. But as the saying goes... build a good site, and the rest will take care of it's self in time.
actually I have a good content site and the traffic is pretty good as I am earning good amount, but the alexa rank is decreasing by day even though the traffic is only moderately decreased
is it not a matter of getting education and government links to your site, as Alexa deems them high importance?
y do u want to improve ur alexa rank? don't worry about it, and here is how to reload HTML pages <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2">
Alexa is a worthless traffic meter IMO. I have parked domains with Alexa 5 million that get 1/10th of the traffic that an Alexa no data parked domain gets. Back to your question... There are autosurf programs people use to artificially boost Alexa ranks. Redirects are also used, but I thought Alexa finally blocked them (I could be wrong). Other people purchase cheap pop under advertising that boosts Alexa rank. There are a number of ways to boost Alexa rank, but why bother? If one uses these methods to inflate site statistics to sell a domain or site, that is not fair to the buyer.
Hi ... Alexa and PR are great indicators among general computer users. Don't let insiders dissuade you from improving either or both. That said, reliable word is Alexa is making major changes, these days, and rankings are all over the place. Someone reported, in another thread, I can't find, that Alexa clearly indicated samples for sites ranking 100,000+ are unstable and thus unreliable. Maybe after the changes, good, small websites will have a better shot at a fair ranking. Hope this helps. Good luck.
It used to be that you could use a link like redirect.alexa.com/redirect?yoursite.com to send traffic through Alexa to your site. The theory was that these redirects improved your ranking, although it has never been verified. The redirects no longer work, so it's a moot point anyway. And Alexa, like PR, is an arbitrary metric more useful for inflating ego than anything else.
if my site pakiisp.com user's install Alexa toolbar and com to my site from alexa toolbar this way my site Rank w'll boost On alexa ??
yup i think they only count traffic from users who have their toolbar installed , so its not perhaps a true reflection of your traffic.
