I've been running Data Circle for about five months now, and it's got to the stage where I have the site up and regular content being posted, but it's not really going much further beyond that. I'm happy to hear any suggestions for improvements, although the main things I'm looking at are: 1. How to make it look less like a generic WordPress blog (or suggestions for a good theme, Pool is nice but doesn't really look "techy"). 2. A better way to blend Adsense into the site, and also somewhere else to put the ads as they're not getting much attention where they are now. 3. Are the articles interesting/relevant? I'm trying to write my opinions/commentary on at least three or four technology news pieces a week, but I'm not sure if that's too much or not enough. 4. How can I encourage people to get more involved with the site? At the moment there's roughly one comment for every two entries, whereas I'd rather the ratio was the other way round. I also want to get other people to write articles for the site - only one person has done this so far. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
I thought about doing that, but I don't want the ads to be too obtrusive. I might put the horizontal link units below the top navigation though I suppose.
