Hi, i had registered on this forum mainly for purchasing services in BST section. The quality of services being offered there is becoming horrible. There are hundreds of new threads being created each month and most of the services offered there are crap. Some other forums which i have started to use more often charge a fee for members who want to advertise their services. Also each new service thread needs to be approved by a moderator even if they pay the fee . This filters out all the junk that people trying to sell. Has DP staff ever considered charging a fee for advertising a service in BST section ? Perhaps make it available to premium members only ?
People do offer services (and look for services) already in the Area 51 section... although it's not huge. But yeah... the other problem is someone being premium doesn't necessarily make the product/service good. A better idea would be to move more stuff to the "real" marketplace system like we did for eBooks. People can rate them, only verified buyers can rate/review them... the crappy ones are pushed to the bottom automatically... http://marketplace.digitalpoint.com/ebooks.php
