Contest Improve my LOGO contest. Winner gets $33 Aiming to end it in 48hrs

Hello talented people,

I need a bit of an improvement to an existing logo. Please read the requirements below.

Name: XGB Proteins

Colours: black and yellow (I prefer to stay with these two colours only but if you must, you can use a bit of white or gray/silver).

MUST keep the original X from the current logo. You can download the original logo from here:

Other than the original X, you can change the logo however you see fit.

Please make XGB bold (the rest of the logo, meaning the word proteins can go underneath but the focus must be on XGB) I generally like simple and stylish designs.

shibs: thanks for getting this started. I feel like it's a little too complicated/too busy right now. The colours are great though and thanks for sticking to my main colours.

contestant: thanks for the entry. I like the very first one though I feel like it is too busy. In the second one I feel like the font you used doesn't match the xgb and in the third one I don't really like it.

I'm off to get some rest now because it's really late here but I will definitely return with some feedback once I wake up.

To anyone else considering this contest: feel free to change the G and the B as I am not too keen on them but I really like the X. And when adding the word proteins try and incorporate it in such a way so that it fits together with xgb.

contestant: #9 They are all too busy for my liking. I do like the ones with the lines on top and below the word protein, however I feel like the word protein should be under xgb not near it otherwise the logo is going to be too wide

puttu: thank you for entering this contest. Sorry but it'n not doing it for me. I would like some bolder letters for G and B. Also the word proteins doesn't seem to be incorporated too well.

logoesdesign: in a way it's my favorite so far but it'n not quite there. I really like how you incorporated the word proteins and I also really like that complete yellow background. However, the G and B don't really do it for me. The B looks also like the number 3 and I would prefer a bolder G and B. The effect you gave to the G and B makes the logo appear too busy.

daraptor: thank you for the entry but sorry it's not what I am looking for. It's much too busy and I would have liked some bolder letters for G and B.I do like the way you positioned the word proteins with the lines above and below it.

logos4all: thank you for the entry but it's not what I am looking for. Yours is a nice one but the style is not suitable. It looks a bit cartoonish (a nice cartoonish though) but I need something a bit more modern looking.
