Improve Google SERP for being listed in DMOZ?

    My site was registered in January this year and was added to DMOZ listing last month. People said it would help in Google SERP. Does Google give any preference to websites listed in DMOZ while calculating SERP?

    Or it is just because of a simple PR reason, i.e. Get link juice from the listed DMOZ page.

    There are many websites including google directory use the DMOZ listing,so it helps in SERP .

    sure it will help since google use Dmoz as some kind of reference source for quality and trustable website. sure it will give you more weight on ranking in SERPs. congrats.

    I personally think DMOZ is overrated, but I would love to be listed there :D

    Google really loves DMOZ. The other directory which is recommended by Google is Yahoo Directory.
