Hello all, I was wondering if anyone can help me understand Google Local and how to improve the placement I am for a certain keyword locally. I have been looking around the internet and do not see much documentation on this. Thank you alot for all your help, Travis
Well Google Local listings allow your site to appear on Google Maps and Google SERP for localized keywords i.e. keywords having the location name and your offerings. Additioanally, you can upload a kml file so that your site can be shown in Google Earth too.
To improve the placement do following: Create specific landing page targeting the keyword Make sure you are placed as close as possible to the city center Ad the adress on the landing page Make sure your local listing are complete - add comprehensive information about your product Get someone to add a review to your local listing This has worked for several of our clients...
