improve forum cpm

hi,
i run a forum with large visitors (40.000 regular visitors)

right now i have an average of

0,05% ctr
0,06 cpm

and about 6-7 euro a day of money i earn

i'd like to improve ofcourse the daily incoming money but it seems that my forum doesn't improve the cpm, is this related to the fact adsense "doesn't like" the forums in general or there are ways to improve the cpm?

It's related to the intentions of your users.

This may be hard to take... but it's not "Google" it's your ability to create value for Google Advertisers from your user base.

Plenty of Fish is essentially a Forum.

He means that it isn't really Adsense's fault about the cpm, it is your users and your traffic. If your visitors on your forums do not want to click ads and have no reason to, then they won't do it. Forums are kind of tricky because once you get all of those members and they get used to the site and have already clicked ads their first visit, they may not do it again. So your focus is on new traffic and targeted ads for your forum.
