Increase your budget to get more impressions. Increase your CPC bid to rank your ad more highly and get more clicks.

Wrong. Improve your ads to get higher click rates.

If your budget is not high enough, you will not maximize impressions. But we don't know if that's the case with Hoss. Increasing CPC may get ads in higher position (at the expense of higher costs of course) and we assume more clicks because your CTR should increase in higher positions.

But improving your ads is the best option. Higher CTR will increase your quality score. Your position will go up over time for the same or lower CPC.

You could also add other relevant keywords.

Negative keywords can also reduce impressions, making searches more relevant and therefore increase your CTR. The effect on QS will be the same.

Type in the keywords that you are targeting.

Look at how your competitors phrase their adwords campaign and simple learn from them. Note that I did not ask you to copy them...just adapt and use whatever strategy that they are using.

Offering to pay a higher bid will also push you up higher of course.

You might like to find a different niche market too because some keywords are just too popular and the price bid for those might be too high and end up being unprofitable for you

    Many things you can do.
Consider longer tailed keywords which will although be searched less frequently, will be cjeaper and more relevant.
Go through your search query reports and make sure you there isn't anything obvious which you haven't added to your keyword lists, or to your negatives.
Relate your keywords to your ads (and write more ad's to split test - run them on rotation for a week or so untill you get enough data to see which ones are performing better, then adjust and repeat). Also, target your ads to landing pages relevant to your keywords. For this you'll be rewarded with a better quality score and therefor cheaper cost per click.
Install conversion tracking to help you identify your best performing keywords, so you can then allocate more of your budget to these.
Implement Google Analytics to help identify any problem areas with the site.
Ensure your ad delivery is set to accelerated (not standard) and unless you are in once of the rare industries where advertising on the content network works, take yourself off it.
PM me if you need further assistance.

    a) improve the appearance and wording of the ads

    b) play with CPC to get a higher rank
