I'm afraid I agree with scweb. Unless you intend to sell a site to a newb and he thinks that alexa ranking is important for some reason, why would you bother?

The info provided by bretti does sound good....but then....does it serve any purpose to up Alexa ranking? Frankly, I have seen people using PR to sell links,blogposts and websites itself...but never heard using Alexa ranking as the yardstick... Regards, RightMan

Hello All, Once I receive first massage of Bretti, I do follow his guidelines. But now till today, No update in alexa ranking. I had also signup in alexa. And also add bottom on my website. Had any try out these steps. Like: Smaaz!
some tips from me. 1. install alexa toolbar and visit your own websites. 2. add alexa graph tool to your site . becaz alexa count only that visitor who have toolbar or if u add graph then alexa count all visitors. 3. make site on webmaster related niche becaz max. webmaster have alexa toolbar. 4. advertise your site to webmaster related site (like dp becaz when i put my wallpaper site link in my signature then my alexa ranking up ) hope all member like my tip. this is not good for old webmaster but nice tip for newbie i think.

you can buy alexa traffic, its about $15 for 10,000 hits, i once bought $2,000's worth and it improve alexa rank a little bit, by about 10k, went from 110k to 100k cool isnt it it does work
Don't waste your time till you ar enot in website flipping world and want to rip off someone. Instead of this, you can use you time for link buildin which will give you visitors too.

the amount of disinformation on this thread is incredible. WHY do you want to 'improve your alexa ranking'??? That's like saying 'buy a special ruler with special short inches so when you measure your **** it looks bigger'. Pointless! It won't actually BE bigger!!!
