Impressions to CTR Ratio - What gives?

I notice that as the impressions increase, the CTR generally decreases.

Here's an example (not my stats, just an example of what I mean):

    10 impressions : 50% CTR
    100 impressions : 30% CTR
    500 impressions : 13% CTR
    750 impressions : 8% CTR
    1000 impressions : 3% CTR
    5000 impressions : 1.8% CTR
    10000 impressions : 0.7% CTR

    Why does this happen?

agree... Could also be traffic from some supplimental results of your SERP's also. Meaning savy internet users that know what an ad is and wont click them.

the one in question is a sort of a forum hybrid
    no no,
no junk traffic, just 71% are returning visitors, and 87% are direct non refered traffic, i dont relly on massive inbound links its mostly word of mouth from current users and a bit of subliminal advertising, also thanks to google analytics i found out that some of the traffic is from SE Asia so google dont pay as well and english ads prob dont do the job for them

but anyways to reinforce the point that higher impressions is lower ctr heres from yesterday for that site

130,561 @ 0.3% which made more money than previous day with 145,321 @ 0.2%, so yes its true

im seeying the same trend with my other sites as traffic increases ctr decreases, so moral of story have loads of small sites and less humongous ones

Leaking your CTR is against Adsense TOS. :)
