This is Gary, a.k.a. GaryTheScubaGuy. I am a regular poster on many forums, but not this one until now. I usually just sponge good information here. But now I've decided to join and start contributing.

But of course I sart this off with a Q!

    But really, I've bookmarked it!

I've recently accepted a position in England and have take over several PPC campaigns and had a Q to bounce off of you.

Google's new algo obviously looks for relevance.

My Q is, going through googles content network impressions skyrocket, thus lowering your CTR and conversions. On other campaigns I have ran in the past, I have not seen this affect my positioning, but I have taken over new campaigns that are going to be subject to G's new rules and have no positive history to help them out.

Before I do this, I was wondering if anyone has seen any fluctuation in your PPC rankings by vastly increasing your impressions, and therefore the CTR? Or will this cause my PPC positions to dropv off?

And secondly, do the CTR, and conversions dropping in one adgroup affect the others, and the same question with campaigns?

Content network impressions don't count towards your quality score.

CTR and conversions don't affect the relevance etc for other adgroups which is a reason why you want to split out the keywords you use into different adgroups to start with, moving them around once they've proven themselves.

Peformance of different campaigns do not affect each other either.

Thing is, does Content Network give you any decent ROI? If so, carry on using it, but if not then either turn it off completely or reduce the bids for the Content Network ads individually.

    Cheers
    Howard
