importing wordpress into another wordpress blog

I need to merge 2 wordpress blogs into 1. They already have the content in them. Has anyone done anything like this? Is there a plugin that does it for the latest version of wordpress.

Some of the posts also have attachments. I cant afford to loose those

 

Are both the versions same ? If same then there won't be any big problem ..get some good programmer .. he will add the file to your database ..thats it!

 

You can upgrade both of them to the latest version, then manually import the database via mysql.

 

so the import export function is useless?

is manual the only method? there are no plugins?

 

Make backups of everything beforehand and give it a shot. I suspect you'll have problems due to posts sharing the same Post IDs . . .
