Importing shoes from China to US, is it a good business?

I got 4 shoes factories in China and I would like to expand it to the US,
does it have potential??

It might be an uphill battle especially with the established brands already competing in the market.

I know that many manufacturers in China may be making shoes for the established brands in the US but to market a shoe brand with a chinese name may not fly with the local community.

I think it is no harm bringing in several pairs to test the market reaction to them. I guess if you push hard enough, you would probably be able to sell. Make just what you bring in meets the needs and wants of the american public at large.

Well it depends, what type of shoes do you make? Some US shoppers are more interested in the name then the shoe itself.

 

Is a leather casual shoes, I am planning to create my own brand in the US
