Importing FTP pictures to Joomla site

    I have pictures in FTP and am now trying to integrate them in to my joomla site. I'm pretty new at the FTP thing and was wondering the best way to upload pictures to my joomla site.

    Also, is it necessary to convert all jpeg files to png? If so, is there a fast and easy way? What about resizing images, is there an easy and fast way to do that? Thanks

    most decent image programs will do "batch conversions"
    some will also do a batch resize.

    ftp is pretty simple, just open the folder and send them.

    thanks for the reply; after a little practice I'm figuring out FTP. Any recommendations for batch conversions?
