As per my knowledge, PayPal doesn't use Wire Transfer to Indian users.

Please check your Account Statement. You will get that you have got the fund by NEFT(National Fund Transfer) not by Wire(SWIFT).

I am pretty sure that you are using automated forum posting software.

Withdrew a few hundred dollars today and I also noticed the low rate. I also checked the rupee dollar graph and it seems rupee is on a decline (I mean on the rise but for us anyways it is a decline :p ) . So, waiting might not help too. I still remember those days when rupee went down to Rs.51 against the dollar a few years ago in the adsense conversion rates and it was awesome. :D

Paypal is Anti - Indian of late what ever the reasons may be. And its hitting hard on our Freelancers. Some one has to look into it.

When I purchased my first phototypesetting machine (way back in 1979), the exchange rate was approximately Rs.7 per Dollar :-o

Yes that followed the Rs.51 rate time .. I am not sure but Rs.51 was towards the end of 2008 I suppose and then in 2009 it lowered to upto Rs.38 .. it has been somewhat stable in the mid-40s for the last couple of years after that .. Rs.38 was really crazy time when my dollars and earnings increased but the actual earnings in terms of check decreased .. and that happened quite soon .. maybe it was due to recession or something but rupee was fluctuating too much in those months
