I would like to know that too. Would have been great if Paypal themselves split the payments if it exceeds $500.

I think that split of payment was most likely done by freelancer. Big companies have implemented this split payments for Indian users.
I don't think paypal is doing the split and i believe the $500 rule hasn't been implemented yet.

So this means that Paypal still did not implement 500$ rule and also the 7 day rule is also not implemented :)

I can confirm that the 500$ limit per transaction rule is not implemented yet and so is the 7 day limit.

Yes, if RBI knows this, they might start revolution against these innocent online earners and will close PayPal option permanently. ;)

I am from Bangladesh but I visit India often. And I also keep an eye on Indian PayPal rules and regulations. I also used Indian PayPal account from Bangladesh in past. But quit after they introduce the PAN card number adding as mandatory. I am researching PayPal from 2005 and used many country PayPal and I know about their features, advantages, restrictions, limitations, rules. And I have to know these. Because I help people to access and withdraw from PayPal.

I've been using PayPal since 2007 and never added credit card to my account. Now, I really need to get one...

    1. Can I get credit card linked with my savings account? I don't like bank sending bills every month.
    2. Does anyone have 'Union Bank of India' credit card? Do they work with PayPal?

RBI has nothing to do with earning income. Infact their job is to look after the implementation of strict monetary policies in India. If they think that such fund flows from paypal is detrimental, they can do anything. Policies and earning income are two different things. i hope all is clear.

The fact is paypal was used as a tool of using black money or for purposes of tax evasion by certain people and thus probably has come under tight scanner of RBI ... we just have to pay the price now

I am supposed to receive $2000(AUD) from a client. I called PP customer service (India section) to know if I can create split invoices of 4 and they dont know shit!

first, the lady was confused whether I can create split invoices to my client and will any problem occur or not from paypal. She said that, "I cant tell you whether you'll have problems with paypal or not, its upto you." WOW!

then, she was suggesting me to use some other online services or use direct bank transfer instead.
I believe this thread has more information than the paypal CS. funny.

Can someone please assure me if I can receive a $2000 payment from my client in one transaction ?
My client doesn't have a PP account he will pay me with his credit card to my invoice.

How ever the PP lady did tell me if my client pays me using CC to 4 invoices I "might" get in trouble and if my client creates a paypal and pays to 4 invoices of $500 each then it's ok. I'm so confused right now.

Please someone suggest me something on how to receive this amount securely. Thanks. :)
