I tried adding Debit Card, it doesn't work. I don't understand, if we can't use Debit Card then why Paypal is showing the option. It clearly says add Debit Card which is also called ATM Card.

And its not just PayPal, several India based shopping sites and web hosting company given option to Indian users to make payment via Debit Card. I don't know why.

    Hi
If the debit card is a Mastercard or Visa card , then it's as good as a credit card for online shopping. My indian bank debit card allow to pay online ( same as credit card )

I have a HDFC VISA Gold Debit Card plus ATM card but PayPal is not accepting it. Did you try to add your debit card in paypal account?

do you use verified by visa or similar service for mastercard for your Debit Card. While searching I have found that one may be required to use this feature in order to make online payment. Just wanted to know if you are using this or you can make payment without that. Could you also tell me which Bank's debit card you use for online payments?

    1) I didn't verified anything by visa or mastercard. Just my bank told me i can use this same as creditcard for paying online.
    2) I paid bills in early morning , its was fine .
    3) I am using debit card from Indian Bank - http://www.indianbank.in/ (only you should maintain 500 Rs minimum balance )

Yes but when we effected with this, I'm sure PayPal will also hit by this and their online business in India will surly decline.

You must have paid someone outside India, as rules says, You cant use Paypal funds to transfer money in India. When I tried making Payment got this msg.
    "
When I asked my writer to send me invoice let me try, I was able to pay then I see they saying source of Payment is my Credit Card not Paypal funds.

Now withdraw all money within 7 days else, PP may say ..money swallowed as you dint withdraw :D

Seems my Indian clients have to face some problems now while Paying.

You can but money will be debited from your CC not Paypal Balance.
These rules are ok so far, the only problem I am facing is, Few Indian small Clients who dont have CC are struggling to pay as bank transfer is nt that easy and many are not aware of NEFT or they have nt uses till now.

Rest all is fine, my all Indian clients are paying by Bank so its ok for me.
