    Hi YoGem
Can you explain me something about this Debit Card.

As you are telling PayPal -> Bank Account -> Debit Card ->, I was thinking of something different, i,e., to remove Paypal from there..
I mean is it possible to pay with Debit Card without attaching it to Paypal like we go in some local shop and give them the card and the transaction is done.
    Is it possible..??

Also I have a SBI ATM cum Debit Card which have a "Maestro" logo on it.. So will that work..??
I know you are from Italy and wouldn't know much about the banks in India but you can refer this to answer my question:

    Waiting for reply..:)

    thanks guys for meaningful post.

    i agree with you guys
get Rs 20,000 and get a Credit Card against FD.
any Indian bank will give you that.

NO Indian Debit Card will work for Online International Transaction.

I don't understand why they put $500 limit per transaction. There's no bank in India with such limits.

The more foreign money comes in India, the more it helps building our economy. Then why did RBI put such limits?

All transaction above $500 from outside India needs to be reported to RBI. To avoid the hassle PayPal has decided to put the limit.

RBI needs to look into this rule. The amount should be increased from $500 to $1000.

The problems are to send money out of India and tax.
If you annual income crosses 20 - 30 Lakh even after paying salaries of staff, would you want to pay 30% tax for your hard work?

Can we pay little bit more attention to serious problem of paypal instead of discussing about, eh ?

Are you guys nuts talking about how India is sucking about tax and till the time India had no problem with paypal, you were happy ? If yes, then you are already doomed.

Not just that.. It's a bit annoying to withdraw money to bank first and then pay people, and the fact that you can't keep any paypal balance in your account.

Btw, Does direct check out through credit card with out logging in to paypal / adding the card to your account work in india?

Well... I have a better solution.
HDFC let's you create VCC from your International Debit Card. So, one vcc can be used to verify your paypal account (If not verified already)
you can also use the vcc to send funds to someone outside someone with out logging in to paypal.
In Any Case, Indians will no longer be able to send money to Indians..

verification is not a problem as it can be done by adding bank details too..the problem is to send money which can not be done by vcc :(

RBI is clever not allowing international transactions with debit cards issued in India.

why? i guess the card issued is a REAL visa/mastercard credit card and it should work.
have you registered for 3d secure because if you dont paypal wont work. i had a hdfc gold credit card and it worked this way.
