IMPORTANT to All Designers

Hello,

As all of you have noticed, a lot of contest holders run away without picking a winner, I assume they just save the logo they like and use it anyways, as they dont provide any links, or even modify the text.

I have seen Contest Holders with and without itraders that do so, and there is nothing DP can do about it.

So, the only solution in my opinion is that we all should add watermarks to our designs
When I started with contests in here, I used to add watermarks, but after wining a couple and seeing they all seem trustable, I decided to remove the watermarks as this helps making the logo or the design look better.

So I am asking you all to add watermarks to your designs whether you care or not so that it will frustrate the scammers and drive them away.

I had to mention this, its starting to get really annoying, last weak, not less than 2 contests (only the ones I took part in) had that problem.

If you guys participate in contests and there is a problem with it, you should leave negative Itrader cause although there was no buy/sell, that didn't happened because contest holder run away.

I don't know for sure if you can drop a -Itrader without winning the contest, but since the contest OP run away i'll assume everybody is a winner.

Maybe a Mod can clarify this.

 

Yes so many contests are active that has the TOPIC NAME -----> $25 or whatever for 1 day & are runnimg from 13 days :x but no winner

 

sikka2010 is right i have seen many contests where the limit has been specified and still the contest is going on and no winner anounced.....

 

I agree, I dont know whether it is possible, but still it wont protect us, the watermark idea will prevent the contest holder from just using any design he like without picking a winner.

 

I don't participate in DP contests anymore but i when i used to i always watermark everything, its usual.

sometimes, i don't put watermark to my design (oh!)
so please contest holder (CH) be honest.

I agree. It might also be good to all use the exact same watermark to make it fair? I dont know..

well I started watermarking mine, noone is getting my designs for free.

And about the same watermark idea, I agree, we can make a poll to see what people want.

 

i think watermark is good but a ripper is a ripper he can recreate the design. some contestholder just get the idea and some elements of the design design above the entry and boom a beautifully designed website. it only applies to some

 

well, we cant do anything about this, all we can is protect the designs by watermarking
