What are some important things to consider when making a bidding directory. Anything from picking a domain to picking a bidding minimum and such. I might make a post in my blog about this, Please let me know if it is ok that I quote you in my blog and maybe link to your website or profile on here. I might not make the post, I don't know yet, but anyways, any tips??
A keyword domain name is a plus point - but will inevitably flag your site alot easier to search engines hunting down bid directories/paid links. The biggest downfall of bid directories is over promotion - some will say this is the only way to gain high bids (which is exactly what you want, otherwise you wouldn't be starting a bid directory) - anyone that says otherwise, should ask Mikey1090 Good luck on whatever you decide to do!
how about. "know that google will destroy you when they see you selling links purely for PR, which is what always happens with bid dirs"
I was a supporter of bidding directories for a long while, my stance has changed, now i would not touch one for this reason, there are to many QBC and scammers tied up with them and they have tainted their overall integrity, yes there are some good ones, but the crap spoils it for all, this is also spilling over into most areas of directories, where daily now there are more new pr 4 directories released. Yes there are some reputable people running them, so not aimed at these people
i never accept any paid posting service, but i will be glad if anyone can pay me mid $XXX for an advertising thread.
1) Have a unique design 2) Have reasonable prices. How lower the prices, how more registrations. And so, how more people can bid higher against each-other Specially when you offer good service: traffic, Google PR, .... 3) Keep announcing your bidding directory, because If you're site is not known on the internet, you will never have much success. So you must see number 4) 4) Build up permanent traffic and get your website be known on the internet. Announce it on places, where the most registrations will come from. 5) Have a good title and keywords. 6) ...... Jason
Does this mean that Google is more likely to take action against bidding directories than regular directories?
