Hi, I am planning to use adwords, so I need some info. #1 How much is the minimum deposit? Is it calculated per day, that is $5 every day? #2 when we opt for exact match, will our ad show up only if all the words are present, and the words are typed in the exact same order? #3 WIll our ads show up on search engine alone, or in other websites? If the latter, in what way is it useful? #4 Is it better to use "buy" in the key phrase we opt for, because only those who're looking to buy will type the word 'buy.' Instead of "laptop", wouldn't "buy laptop" be better? #5 Showing the price in the ad, will that be better, because those who can't afford it won't click? #6 will google show the searches/month for our chosen key phrase, when we set up the account? #7 are affiliate links allowed, how to add them, do we also have to give the main site link? That's it for now, I'd appreciate some response. EDIT: I tried setting an account, but am not able to find out how much my key phrase will cost, or how many searches have been done. It's so f*****g confusing! Warmly, Confounded
Another I noticed when I used the keyword tool...for a certain keyword, when I fill it up like this: Calculate Estimates using Max CPC: US Dollars (USD $)................when I fill this as #1 it shows, estimated ad position as 1-3 for just .70 cents. But it shows 1-3 for $2.50 if we calculate estimates using max cpc as $5. Why does it show diff. estimates?
It'll take all day to answer your questions with any kind of adequacy. You have a lot to learn, and there are few better resources than Google's own Adwords Learning Center and Adwords Help Center.
1. You set a daily budget. But $5 a day isn't get you very far. 2.Yes. You can also have phrase match - will show up when words are added to either end of your keyword, or broad match - but that's very broad, and should be used with caution, and with lots of negatives. 3. Turn off content match. Everyone does, god knows why google still bundle it in. If you want your ads to show in other sites (adsense) do it as a separate campaign. 4. Being too general can get you lots of clicks but no sales, but if you're putting the model and make of specific laptops as your keywords, having that as well as the "buy widgetbrand laptops" is probably worth doing. 5. Generally putting the price results in fewer clicks but more sales, but I agree, try a few options and see which works best (and set the rotate ads option) 6.You can use google keyword tools - https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal though I've never found them very accurate 7. - I believe yes, but others who are into the affiliate thing can tell you about that. How much will your keyphrase cost? It varies according to a lot of factors, the popularity of the keyword, it's relevance to your site, and the ad you write.
