I am so sorry please move this topic to Adsense Forum
Firstly, you seem to have Clicks and Impressions the wrong way around. That said, the total is for all ads, no matter if they're CPM or CPC. And the effective CPM is for both combined, calculated from the total earnings/impressions.
The eCPM is calculated as the adsense profit divided by the thousands of page impressions. In your case: 222,52 / 125. The eCPM is supposed to show you how much your page would be worth if you decided to display CPM ads. Btw, you are allowed to share with others only your gross earnings.
Wow some amazing replies to confused this guy! Adsense pays on CPM and CPC both. CPM are however mostly image ads but not necessarily all image ads are CPM. CPM ads are paid for 1000 page views. hope that helps. Reps appreciated!
but his original question is not about how to calculate CPM and earning. He was only asking, What does this mean?
Yep, you're right, godmode. But he asked so I figured he was not sure about what effective CPM meant.
you can find out CPM earnings and CPC earnings by going to Advanced Reports On the drop down box "Show data by" -> Select "Individual Ads" Tick the box under it saying "Show data by targeting type". This will show you your SITE - CPM Ads Contextual - CPC ads Pierce
