important: privacy settings seem flawed

    Hi,

    I hope some of you can reflect on this. I often change privacy settings for my status updates, depending on who is allowed to receive this information about me. Some things are for friends, some for friends except acquaintances, and some are public.

    Recently I posted an update about my travels, initially for friends.
    A few weeks later I changed it to ''public".

    But it turns out that the information never became publically available.
    You can check this with the "view your profile as... - feature", and also the info was not available for new people who wanted to add me.

    Has this changed by now?

    Usually, the privacy settings do not change. If you set them in a certain manner, they should remain the same. Maybe some glitch happened and Facebook changed the settings.
