Some publishers to see changes in their ads We’ve been doing some tinkering under the bonnet recently, so some of you may notice a few changes in your ads. The changes you’re likely to see include the removal of ellipses (…) and truncated words, the inclusion of 40-character titles on certain ad units, and a change in the number of ads displayed on certain ad layouts. These enhancements have to do with our efforts to upgrade our contextual advertising product, and in the coming weeks will take effect across the entire network. They come in response to your feedback and should, in the long run, help enhance your account performance. We’ll share more details with you as they become available. —Tom Furukawa, Director, Product Management http://www.ypnblog.com/
Yes, Jessica Alba. I don't see any changes in my ads yet either, but I can't wait, I have been wanting the elipses to be removed since day 1, I think it will increase CTR. I wonder if the move towards more 'contextual targeting' will after RPC at all? The 768 still shows 4 for me Kara.
Nope, mine are still here. How long have you been a publisher, also what letter does your username start with? I bet they are going through all acounts and making changes now.
now im back to 4 ads with elipses. they are probuably running through it now. should be interesting to see how the ad units are affected
I first noticed full size ads without ellipses (40char in 728x90 unit) yesterday. Was very exited then and subsequently disappointed today when they stopped running them. I always new that CRT would increase if they stop truncating ads. Yesterday run proved it for me. I'm looking forward to this enhansment becoming permanent.
