    Greetings ladies and gents,

Being an active seller and byer here on DP i decided to write a guide on how not to get an infraction for reviewing others' services and products.

I am writing this guide since there are a lot of questions and worries about getting penalties for writing a review on someone's thread.

So when you are going to write a review, please try to use common sense:

    1. If people reading the thread can't use your review for improving their decision - it's useless and there is no reason to even think about such reviews. Some examples below:
    "great service"
    "put links fast, nice guy"
    "fast turnaround and communication"
    Doesn't it look familliar, eh?

    2. Do not mess review in the thread with iTrader review. Do not write same short review as you do for iTrader ratings. Use at least 1-2 lines to show the most inportant facts about the service/product you are reviewing.

    3. Giving a quick x/10 rating is always good, so other buyers can see where it rates on a scale from 1-10.

    4. Remember - review is a bump. Noone like pointless bumps. So if your review doesn't comply with #1 - #3 you may recieve an infraction.

Hope this will help you to help others by your reviews right.

Also, I just wanted to add in on this.

Giving a quick x/10 rating is always good, so other buyers can see where it rates on a scale from 1-10.

But nice guide, and thanks for this.

    *possible sticky?*

reviews must be made inview of newbie rather than posting that " i already know this method " kinda things...those will get bombed with pm's asking to help rather than purchasing the book/software...here the OP will not get anything by giving review copies...

Don't post a download link to the ebook even though the seller told you to.
And remember: DP mods always consider the first guy to scream liar as the most truthful.

    3 points:

    - Recieving an infraction for a review? There are no other rules for reviews then for each and every other post.

    - Why noone likes "pointless" bumps? Most sellers don´t have anything against "bumps" because their selling thread stays on 1st page

-This post definitely doesn´t belong to B/S/T

Good suggestions and guide. 10/10 article. :p
So far I haven't gotten any kinda beef from mods, but heck they sure keep this place spic and span. This should be a good guide for those noobies who don't wanna start a record (like me!)...

    Sticky much?

PS: You mind reading/responding my latest PM to you (brutalSEO)?

If a review is real, and has been written with the true intention of passing on information to potential buyers then it should easily fit your criteria.

The bigger problem is sellers who won't even provide the ebook (usually) until a review is given which is incredibly dumb.

    What's that about?

Just goes to show - those who treat the rules as a joke will often end up on the wrong side of it.

You should write a new guide -

Profile infractions are for problems that might not be related to a specific thread - or perhaps hundreds of them!
