I just purchased a new dedi box from SoftLayer, and at the moment I need to set it up so that I can offer (shared) hosting from another site of mine that comes pre-configured with various packages. It is extremely important that when users first get their account, the immediately have access to all of these extra features with a minimum amount of work involved. What kind of work would a job like this entail, and how much would it cost?
Setup management software such as WHMCS on your other site and have it configured to create accounts on your new dedicated server. You can get a WHMCS license from licensepal.com for cheap.
No, it wont. Even if the script is in Fantastico, its not possible. Do you have a single custom script that you want installed on every new user account? You could write a shell script to do this.
That's more along the lines of what I was thinking would need to be done. At the moment my knowledge of the Linux shell and bash scripting extends to only the most basic SSH, so I will need to hire someone who can do this. Is this something you might be capable of doing? Also, if not, would a service like http://www.seeksadmin.com be able to?
i have owned license of whmcs but didn't use it if you want you can buy it for only $300 the price on the official site is $324.95 if we agree i will give you the login for whmcs member area also you will need hosting control panel and i recommend cPanel and Fantastico if you want to offer pre-installed script
well the thing is, I know that cPanel can offer pre-configured scripts and all that, but everyone I have consulted with has stated that for what I am trying to do, it is impossible. In order to set it up so that each user has the application that I want them to have and be able to secure this is something that will apparently take more work, and have to be a custom job.
