Important- Good SEO & Negative effect !!

3 day back I did the following changes to my site

• - Optimize Title - Put keyword at 1st place and increases it relevancy.
• -Meta Description- Use some keyword and its synonyms and increases it relevancy.
• - H1/H2 - Earlier there was no proper H1 heading , I create a proper H1 tag with keyword 2 times in it.
• - Also use h2 heading.
• -Building back link from relevant blogs etc and yahoo site explorer is showing increase in back link.
• -Did 301 redirect from non www and index.php url

What I have done is a positive SEO for my keyword, but its ranking down from 10th to 11th position.

Well everything you did with your HTML and get some links from blogs which yahoo! shows in there results but I want to ask what do you did with your content, is that fresh and highly keyword and theme relevant.
Second thing about back links so links from blogs commenting are mostly(Not all) are no follow in property so they doesn't make any sense with at least Google.So try to boost up your link building campaign for Do-Follow links and hope will see the result in the form of good ranking.

 

Hi My personal experience in this case is that if Search Engines degrades some keywords after positive changes than after a short time those keywords will get high rankings,
Pls wait at least few days and then check the result..

 

yes wait for a few days to see if there are any improvements. Also have you been working to get as many relevant and quality backlinks? That helps too with google serps. hope this helps

as previously stated, patience is key. i find that especially with google, whenever you change from something more natural to something "precisely optimized" for a keyword, the effects will not immediately show up. this may be some kind of deterrent, but with a little time, you'll like the end result.

 

The only corret answer - the rest are the usual parrots - don't listen to the noobs.

 

I think this might be a good place for a friendly reminder that your competitors may also be working on their SEO. There is no guarantees that they have stopped, you may have moved down due to someone else's efforts. To often we all seem to think we are competing against stationary objects
