Hello All I hope you all will be doing fantastic ! This thread is only for Ad Words Experts so please beginners and the people having limited knowledge are not allowed to reply at this thread.... Well, suppose we have a very old like 2.5 years old ad words campaign and we did not mention even the name of this campaign its name is just campaign # 1, and we have used the name of the ad groups in short terms like in abbreviation form like TT, HRT, GH, etc etc , mean not the complete and proper names... and we are using the broad keywords but with 1 single ad copy per each ad group and we are getting many more clicks also from that single ad copy ......... Experts, please share your knowledge on it whether its a positive approach or not ? We should go with this way or we should make changes according to the latest updates BUT make it clear that we are already getting very decent number of clicks already... So, we are not in a position to reduce our click through rate so explain me whether we should go with this practice or should change it according to the latest updates ??? Let me know Thanks
I believe you know the name of adgroup and campaigns are just for your reference, if you are OK managing it, It is OK with Adword guys as well. I would not change it until I am sure I will get more CTR. Question arrives here is , how likely you think you will get more Clicks if you use latest features and stuff ? We are not sure about your keyword , type of audience your business have and the nature of your business, so guess work will not be fare provided that you are talking about a serious campaign. how about setting up a test campaign with latest updates, features and see the outcome for few days ? IF it goes good, Good for you if not ,resume your old ads.
yes you are write saying. But if he is getting good clicks by only copy of ads then y u r not trying different ad campaign with equivalent ads. Definitely u will got more clicks. If your moto is only click not sales. Thanks Adwords Management
The name of campaigns and groups will not affect the stats in any way. It would be a good idea however to properly name them. Not just for you but any one else in the business or outside who may manage it some day. "campaign # 1" means nothing. TT, HRG, GH may mean something to you and may be fine but again, best to be more specific and less confusing such as if you had CT, ET, IT, OT, QT, MT, TT, especially if all those Ts mean the same. Don't use only broad match keywords. After 2.5 years, you should have plenty of data on how people search. Use phrase and exact matches, use the newer modified broad instead as well if you must use broad. You've wasted the last years if all you used is one ad. You didn't test different ones to see what works best both for click rates and conversions. And as you're aware, things have changed and you have not taken advantage.
