RSS feeds are a way to continously freshen website content without having to make periodic content updates manually.The key to using RSS feeds is to have it show up in your website's page code so when search engine spiders your site, it will see new content and think that your site is maintained and updated frequently.

yes rss is very effective for site crawling so place RSS link to your site and do some rss submission
