I've few questions on press release distribution. How good it be to go for press release distribution to generate traffic for my website? I've made a list of 50 free press release publication websites. If I submit there it will be published in their sites. But I want to target for a coverage in popular news medias across different states in US. I'm ready to pay for it. Can anyone suggest me how can get to fulfill that? Is there anyone who give the same service?

prweb.com and prwebdirect.com (where you order them) are the best places to go. Their reputation is outstanding and some people get great results.

yes they are very good if submitted to the right sites. These sites are indexed by Google every few hours it doesn't take long to see your work in a Google search.
press releases send you a quick niche traffic from news sites. but make sure you hire a good PR writer to write a high quality release.
Ive used PRs through various efforts and have had nothing but success. My latest PR through PRWeb.com and PRNewswire.com jumped my new site from indexed pages numbering in the tens to the pages indexed in the thousands. Also, I was able to make three affiliate/professional contacts from them and have already established one partnership from a company who found my PR and contacted me.
I doubt how a press release can be a good link source for SE rankings becoz the content will be same in all websites. I'm not only looking for online visibility, it'd be great if it goes to niche editors for review purpose. I think prnewswire would be ideal for it. what do you say?
